BHU Trauma Centre, IMS-BHU Varanasi, is a premier tertiary-level emergency and trauma care facility functioning under the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The hospital is dedicated to providing immediate and advanced medical care to patients suffering from serious injuries, accidents, and life-threatening emergencies.

History & Importance

The BHU Trauma Centre was established with the aim of strengthening emergency healthcare services and reducing trauma-related mortality. It became operational in the mid-2010s as part of the expansion of medical infrastructure at IMS-BHU.

Over the years, the Trauma Centre has evolved into a major referral hospital for serious accident and injury cases. Continuous upgrades in infrastructure, medical equipment, and digital healthcare systems have further enhanced the quality and efficiency of patient care.
