Sarveshwar Mandir is a sacred and ancient temple located near the Assi area of Varanasi, dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered here as Lord Sarveshwar Mahadev. History & Significance

The temple has been worshipped since ancient times as a significant Shiva Peeth.
It is believed to be one of the sacred points connecting the cosmic energy of Kashi.

“Sarveshwar” means “Lord of All,” symbolizing the supreme consciousness of Lord Shiva.

Architecture & Structure

The temple features traditional Nagara-style architecture with a towering spire (Shikhara).
Built using sandstone and marble, giving it an elegant divine appearance.
The sanctum (Garbhagriha) enshrines a black Shiva Lingam known as Sarveshwar Mahadev.
The surrounding area is filled with trees and peaceful ambiance, ideal for meditation.
