Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) is a state university located in the holy city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1921 during Indiaโ€™s freedom movement, it played a major role in promoting Indian education free from British control. The university was renamed after Mahatma Gandhi in 1995.

It offers a broad range of academic programs across Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Law, and Social Sciences. MGKVP has more than 350 affiliated colleges spread across various districts of Uttar Pradesh.
